For respondents who currently smoke (TFREQ) and have attempted to quit in the past 12 months (TRYQUIT), TQUITWPIPEATT indicates whether the respondent tried switching to a water pipe or hookah as part of an attempt to quit smoking during the past 12 months.

This variable is part of the Tobacco Use Supplement.
