Description

For self-respondents whose main job included indoor work in an eligible workplace setting (TWKSETTING, TWKAREA), TSMKWORK indicates whether anyone smoked in the area in which the respondent worked during the past two weeks.

This variable is part of the Tobacco Use Supplement.

Comparability

This variable is comparable over time.

Universe

  • all: Self-respondents who worked indoors at their main job (TWKSETTING) and were asked about their workplace smoking policy (TWKPOLICY).
