Description

For self-respondents who were not retired, worked for pay or were employed during the past week, and were not self-employed, TWKSETTING reports whether the respondent, at their main job, primarily worked indoors, mainly worked outdoors, works mainly indoors in non-traditional environments (such as a warehouse or other similar large semi-structured area), mainly travels for work (to different clients or sites or mainly in a motor vehicle/bus/train/boat/airplane/underground/in a mine), worked about equally indoors and outdoors, or that their work location varies.

This variable is part of the Tobacco Use Supplement.
