Description
BINCACCT reports whether or not anyone in the household received income that was directly deposited in, or electronically transferred to, a bank account in a typical month during the past 12 months.
BINCACCT is part of a series of variables about ways income was received during the past 12 months. Related variables include BINCCARD, BINCCASH, BINCCHECK, and BINCOTH. Though respondents who answered that the household had no income during past 12 months were asked no further questions about income types, these households are coded as "Did not receive income" in all variables in this series.
This variable is part of the Unbanked/Underbanked Supplement.
Universe
- Households that currently have bank accounts or did within the last 12 months with a respondent aged 15 or older who has knowledge of household finances.
