Description
BBILLOTH reports whether households used some way other than cash, checks, debit cards, credit cards, prepaid cards, electronic methods, or money orders to pay bills in a typical month during the last 12 months.
BBILLOTH is part of a series of variables about methods of bill payment during the past 12 months. Related variables include BBILLCHECK, BBILLDC, BBILLCC, BBILLPC, BBILLELEC, BBILLMO, BBILLMOB, and BBILLCASH. Though respondents who answered that the household had not paid bills during past 12 months were asked no further questions about bill payment, these households are coded as "Did not pay bills" in all variables in this series.
This variable is part of the Unbanked/Underbanked Supplement.
