SRCPEN2 reports the second source of pension income identified by respondents who reported having any retirement accounts during the previous year. The first source of pension income is reported in SRCPEN1.

This variable is comparable across time.

In the 2019, retirement income and pension income are split into two different sets of questions. Prior to that year, retirement and pension income sources are combined and reported in SRCRETI1 and SRCRETI2. For retirement income sources from 2019 on are reported in SRCRET1 and SRCRET2.
