Description
WSENDAMPM indicates whether the time the respondent's primary job usually ended last week was the AM or PM time of day. WSENDAMPM is used in conjunction with WSENDTIME to determine if the time recorded in WSENDTIME refers to the AM or PM time of day.
The "primary job" is defined as the job at which the respondent worked the most hours.
This variable is part of the Work Schedules Supplement.
Comparability
From 1976-1978 there are small numbers of respondents who have valid WSENDAMPM responses despite not meeting known universe criteria.
In 1985, 6,214 individuals were in-universe for the Work Schedules Supplement, but did not answer the supplement questions. These individuals have been coded as "No Response" if they met WSENDAMPM universe criteria.
This variable is otherwise comparable across available samples.
