Description

VNOTRAINCON indicates whether respondents were unable to obtain job training or schooling because of conflicts with job responsibilities.

VNOTRAINCON is part of a series of variables identifying reasons why veterans were unable to obtain job training or schooling. Other variables in this series include VNOTRAINCOST, VNOTRAINDENY, VNOTRAINFAM, VNOTRAINOTH, VNOTRAINREQ, VNOTRAINTIME, VNOTRAINTYPE, VNOTRAINVA, and VNOTRAINWRONG.These variables were asked as one "mark all that apply" question.

Comparability

In 2003 and earlier samples, Veterans Supplement respondents were 18 and older; in 2005 and later, respondents to the supplement were 17 and older.
