Description

For respondents who completely quit one or more non-cigarette tobacco products within the past 12 months (TSINCEQUITCIGAR, TSINCEQUITPIPE, TSINCEQUITSMKLS, TSINCEQUITWPIPE, or TSINCEQUITECIG), TTOBAMTIMEBFQ reports in minutes how soon after waking the respondent typically first used the non-cigarette tobacco product or products (TTOBTYPAMTIMEBFQ) prior to quitting. This variable is created from two components: the first is a number variable and the second is a unit variable. Respondents reported how long, in minutes or hours, they wait after waking to use the non-cigarette tobacco product(s). For respondents who do not give a valid time response, the third question asks whether or not the person uses the non-cigarette tobacco product(s) within 30 minutes of waking. These responses are captured by TAMTOBBFQUIT.
