Description
For all interviews, TRESP indicates if the interview was self-response. If the interview was given by a proxy, TRESP gives the relationship between the proxy and the sample person.
This variable is part of the Tobacco Use Supplement.
Universe
- 1992-1993 (selected months): People who claim that the supplement questions were answered by proxy or those people with a response to the question about tobacco advertising.
- 1995-2007 (selected months): Persons age 15+.
- 2010+: Persons interviewed for the Tobacco Use Supplement (TBRESP).
- May 2011: Persons interviewed for the Tobacco Use Supplement (TBRESP); MIS 5-8 only.
