Description

For respondents who have quit smoking completely within the last 3 years (TSINCEQUIT), TQUITCOUNSEL reports if the respondent used a stop smoking clinic, class, or support group when they quit smoking.
This variable is part of the Tobacco Use Supplement.

This variable is comparable for all available years.

Universe

  • May 2010, Aug 2010, Jan 2011, Jul 2018, Jan 2019, May 2019, Sep 2022, Jan 2023, and May 2023: Respondents who have quit smoking completely within the last 3 years (TSINCEQUIT).
  • May 2011: Respondents who have quit smoking completely within the last 3 years (TSINCEQUIT); MIS 5-8 only.
