Description

TOTHNICCS indicates whether a smoker who tried to quit in the past twelve months or a former smoker who quit in the past five years used a replacement nicotine source, such as chewing tobacco, snuff, or snus other than the types listed in the questionnaire (gum, inhalers, spray, patches, tablets, or lozenges) in the attempt to quit.

This variable is a part of the Tobacco Use Supplement.
