Description
For smokers who were advised to quit smoking by a medical professional in the past twelve months, TMEDPILL indicates whether or not a medical professional prescribed the respondent smoking cessation products, such as Chantix, Varenicline, Zyban, Bupropion, or Wellbutrin to help quit smoking.
This variable is a part of the Tobacco Use Supplement.

- Persons interviewed for the Tobacco Use Supplement (TBRESP) who are current smokers who had seen a medical professional and was advised to quit.
