Description
For smokers who were advised to quit smoking by a medical professional in the past twelve months, TMEDNIC indicates whether or not a medical professional prescribed the respondent smoking cessation products, such as a nicotine spray, a patch or an inhaler to help quit smoking.
This variable is a part of the Tobacco Use Supplement.
Universe
- Persons interviewed for the Tobacco Use Supplement (TBRESP) who are current smokers who had seen a medical professional and was advised to quit.
