Description

TCIG100 identifies individuals who had ever smoked 100 cigarettes in their lifetime.

This variable is part of the Tobacco Use Supplement.

Comparability

In 1985 and 1989 there are unusually high numbers of "No response" responses. No explanation was found for these higher "no response" frequencies, and these respondents were found to be in universe for TCIG100.

This variable is otherwise comparable across all available years.
