Description

DWRECALL reports whether the respondent expected to be recalled within six months to the same job or position they lost last year.

This variable is part of the Displaced Workers Supplement.

Comparability

From 1984-1992, respondents who lost or left a job during the past five years are included in the supplement; from 1994 on, those who lost or left a job during the past three years are included.

Universe

  • Civilians age 20 or older who were interviewed for the displaced worker supplement (DWRESP) and who lost a job (DWLOSTJOB) in the last year (DWLASTWRK) because of a shift elimination or insufficient work.
