Description

DWRESP identifies individuals who were eligible to be interviewed for the Displaced Worker Supplement, and further identifies whether they were interviewed or not. Eligibility for the Displaced Worker Supplement includes being interviewed for the basic monthly sample of the same month, and being a civilian age 20 or older.

This variable is part of the Displaced Workers Supplement.

Comparability

From 1984-1992, respondents who lost or left a job during the past five years are included in the supplement; from 1994 on, those who lost or left a job during the past three years are included.

Universe

  • 1984-1992: Civilians age 20 or older.
  • 1996+: Civilians age 20 or older who lost or left a job during the past 5 years.
