Description

CWTYCALLDAY indicates whether the individual was an on call worker or day laborer (see also CWONCALL). On call workers includes workers who are called into work as needed, even though they can be scheduled to work for several days or weeks in a row, for example, substitute teachers and construction workers supplied by a union hiring hall.

This variable is one of four that defines alternative employment arrangements. Alternative employment arrangements are determined by the workers' relationship to their employer. The four alternative work arrangements available in this supplement include CWTYTEMP, CWTYINCTR, CWTYCOCTR, and CWTYCALLDAY.

This variable is part of the Contingent Work Supplement.

Comparability
