Description
CWTEMPEV indicates whether respondents who did not report doing temporary work, contacting, consulting, free-lance, day labor, or on-call work (CWTEMP, CWCONTRACT, CWCONTRACTIC, CWDAYLAB, CWONCALL) have ever done those types of work for their current employer.
This variable is part of the Contingent Work Supplement.
Universe
- 1995-1999: Civilians age 16+ who were employed, but not self-employed, were not in temporary jobs, not paid by a temporary help agency, and in the past week were not on-call, not day laborers, not doing independent contract work, and did not work for a company that contracts out the respondent or their services.
- 2001-2005: Civilians in month-in-sample 1-3 or 5-7 age 16+ who were employed, but not self-employed, were not in temporary jobs, not paid by a temporary help agency, and in the past week were not on-call, not day laborers, not doing independent contract work, and did not work for a company that contracts out the respondent or their services.
- 2017: Civilians age 16+ who were employed, but not self-employed, were not in temporary jobs, not paid by a temporary help agency, and in the past week were not on-call, not day laborers, not doing independent contract work, and did not work for a company that contracts out the respondent or their services.
