Description
BPPAIDFAM reports if households that used prepaid cards during the last 12 months received those cards from family members or friends.
BPPAIDFAM is part of a series of variable regarding the acquisition of prepaid cards. Related variables include BPPAIDRTL, BPPAIDGOV, BPPAIDBANK, BPPAIDEMP, and BPPAIDOTH. Respondents were asked where prepaid cards used during the past 12 months had come from and asked to mark all options that applied to their household.

Universe
- Households that report having or not having bank accounts, that have used a prepaid card in the last 12 months and have a respondent age 15 or older, who has knowledge of household finances.
