Description
BCHECKEV reports whether anyone in the household has ever gone to a place other than a bank to cash a check that was received from someone else. Banks are defined as "banks, savings and loans, credit unions, and brokerage firms."
This variable is part of the Unbanked/Underbanked Supplement.
Universe
- 2009: All supplement respondent households.
- 2011-2013: Households that report having or not having bank accounts, and have a respondent aged 15 or older, who has knowledge of household finances.
