Description

For respondents who do not currently smoke cigarettes (TFREQ) and currently use exactly one qualifying non-cigarette tobacco product every day or on at least 12 of the past 30 days, TTOBQUIT indicates whether the respondent stopped using the non-cigarette tobacco product identified in TTOBTYPQUIT for at least one day during the past 12 months because they were trying to quit.

This variable is part of the Tobacco Use Supplement.
