Description
For current every day and non-daily smokers (TSMKER) who bought their last pack or carton of cigarettes some other way (not in their own state or some other state) (TSMKPLOC), TSMKPLOCRES reports whether purchased their last pack or carton of cigarettes on an Indian reservation.
This variable is part of the Tobacco Use Supplement. This IPUMS variable was constructed using multiple original survey variables and as a result, combinations of response options that only included "refused", "don't know" or "no response" were coded as 95 (Non response).
Universe
- May 2010, Aug 2010, Jan 2011, Jul 2014, Jan 2015, May 2015, Jul 2018, Jan 2019, May 2019, Sep 2022, Jan 2023, and May 2023: Current daily and non-daily smokers (TSMKER) who reported they bought their last pack/carton of cigarettes "some other way" (TSMKPLOC).
