This value MUST be combined with edlev to determine true highest grade. These values match the values for edcom. Note this is before the values are modified by grdcom (flag that denotes whether grade/year was completed). Tabulations for 1963 indicate all missing values.
Universe
- 1968-1988: Adults 14+.
- 1988: Adults 14+ who had highest grade attended as elementary or higher.
