Description

For employed civilians age 15 and older who use a computer at work, CIWWORD indicates whether the person identified word processing as one of the uses of their computer at work.

This variable is part of the Computer Internet Supplement.

Comparability

CIWWORD is comparable for all available years.

In available years from 2001 on, there is a similar variable called CIWDTPWRD which combines the computer uses of desktop publishing and word processing.
