Description
TSTOPLONG reports whether or not a smoker's most recent attempt to quit smoking was the longest he/she had stopped smoking.in the past year.
This variable is a part of the Tobacco Use Supplement.
Universe
- 2003: Self-respondent smokers age 15 and older who tried more than once to quit smoking completely in past 12 months.
- 2010+: Persons interviewed for the Tobacco Use Supplement (TBRESP) who are current smokers who tried more than once to quit smoking completely in past 12 months.
- May 2011: Persons interviewed for the Tobacco Use Supplement (TBRESP) who are current smokers who tried more than once to quit smoking completely in past 12 months; MIS 5-8 only.
