This variable is part of the Displaced Workers Supplement.
Universe
- 1986-1992: Civilians age 20 or older who lost or left their job in the last five years.
- 1994+: Civilians age 20 or older who lost or left their job in the last three years, were not self-employed, and provided a response for tenure in the lost/left job.
