VLHALLORG indicates how many hours the respondent spent volunteering for all organizations in the past year. This variable was constructed by the Census Bureau by summing the hours volunteered for up to seven organizations.
This variable is part of the Volunteer Supplement.
Universe
- Sep 2002 - Sep 2015: Persons age 15+ who had volunteered in the past year.
- Sep 2017, Sep 2019, Sep 2021, and Sep 2023: Persons age 16+ who had volunteered in the past year.
