Description
WSWKHM indicates whether or not respondents worked from home for their primary job. This includes both work done at home for pay, as well as work done at home outside of paid work hours (e.g. brought extra work home).
The "primary job" is defined as the job at which the respondent worked the most hours.
This variable is part of the Work Schedules Supplement.
Comparability
Starting in 1997, response categories indicating "Refusal" and "Don't Know" were added.
In 1985, 6,214 individuals were in-universe for the Work Schedules Supplement but did not answer the supplement questions. These individuals have been coded as "No Response" if they met WSWKHM universe criteria.
