Description

VEMOTH indicates whether respondents have used a strategy for finding employment or job related training that does not involve some kind of contact with a state employment office or a person working for a state employment office.

This variable is part of the Veterans Supplement

Comparability

In 2003 and earlier samples, Veterans Supplement respondents were 18 and older; in 2005 and later, respondents to the supplement were 17 and older.

In 2001 VEMOTH was asked of all veterans.

In 2003 forward, only veterans under 65 years old are considered in universe.
