Description

VEMOFFUSE indicates whether respondents who have visited a state employment service office, or logged on to their website, since leaving active duty felt those actions were useful in their search for employment.

This variable is part of the Veterans Supplement

Comparability

In 2003 and earlier samples, Veterans Supplement respondents were 18 and older; in 2005 and later, respondents to the supplement were 17 and older.

In 2001 VEMOFFUSE was asked of all veterans who visited a state employment office or its website (VEMOFF).

In 2003 through 2020, only veterans under 65 years old who visited a state employment office or its website are considered in universe.

Universe

  • 2001: Veterans who visited a state employment office or logged on to their website since leaving active duty
  • 2003-2020: Veterans under 65 years old who visited a state employment office or logged on to their website since leaving active duty
  • 2021-onward: Veterans whose active duty service ended in 2011 or later, who contacted a state employment office
