Description
VEMCONT indicates whether respondents made contact with a state employment specialist for assistance in finding job, or obtaining job related training, since leaving active duty.
This variable is part of the Veterans Supplement
Comparability
In 2003 and earlier samples, Veterans Supplement respondents were 18 and older; in 2005 and later, respondents to the supplement were 17 and older.
In 2001 VEMCONT was asked of all supplement eligible veterans.
In 2003 forward, only veterans under 65 years old are considered in universe.
