Description

For current every day and non-daily smokers (TSMKER), TSMKPSING2M reports whether the respondent purchased a single or individual cigarette in the past 2 months.
This variable is part of the Tobacco Use Supplement. This IPUMS variable was constructed using multiple original survey variables and as a result, combinations of response options that only included "refused", "don't know" or "no response" were coded as 95 (Non response).

Comparability

In 2010, the response option "Traded" was included. This response option was not available prior to or after 2010. For all other years, this variable is comparable.
