Description
For former smokers and current every day and non-daily smokers (TSMKER), TMENTH6M reports if the respondent has ever smoked menthol cigarettes for at least 6 months.
This variable is part of the Tobacco Use Supplement. This IPUMS variable was constructed using multiple original survey variables and as a result, combinations of response options that only included "refused", "don't know" or "no response" were coded as 95 (Non response).
