Description
If a smoker was advised by a medical professional to quit but was not given a prescription or informational materials, TMEDTALK indicates whether he/she received spoken advice from a medical professional to quit smoking in the past year.
This variable is a part of the Tobacco Use Supplement.
Universe
- Self-respondent smokers age 15 or older who had seen a medical professional and was advised to quit, but not given prescriptions or materials on how to quit.
