Description

PWRTLYR reports whether the respondent took creative writing lessons during the last 12 months.

This variable is part of the Public Arts Supplement.

PWRTLYR is a Module D variable in the May 2008 sample, a Module E variable in the July 2012 and July 2017 samples, and a Module D variable in the July 2022 sample. Comparability

In the July 2017 sample, respondents under 25 years old were first asked if they had ever taken any creative writing lessons. Only those who responded that they had were asked PWRTLYR.
