Description

OUTOTHLW identifies persons who reported health insurance coverage, during the previous week, provided by the policy of someone living outside the household, or who reported some other health insurance coverage during the previous week not elsewhere identified in the variables CAIDLW, CARELW, CHAMPLW, GROUPLW, IHSLW, PRIPURLW, or MILVALW.

Persons covered by any insurance (Medicare, Medicaid, CHAMPUS, CHAMPVA, VA health care, Military health care, Indian Health Service, other government health care, employer-provided, privately-purchased, or some other health care plan) during the previous week are identified in COVERLW.
