Comparability
MHMAR1ENDY is limited to ever-married women in all available samples, except for 1980 where ever-married men are included.
In 1980 and 1990, the MHMAR1ENDY variable includes women who have been married only once. These women also have values for "year of termination of last marriage" (MHMARLENDY); for these cases, values of MHMAR1ENDY and MHMARLENDY are the same. In 1995, women who have been married only once are in-universe only for MHMARLENDY.
