Description
JTYEARAGO reports the employment status of the respondent one year ago. Respondents who answered Displaced Worker questions were also asked if they were working at the reference lost job from the Displaced Worker Supplement one year ago. Beginning in 1996, this variable includes only those respondents who have worked for their current employer for less than one year.
This variable is part of the Job Tenure Supplement.
Universe
- Jan 1987 and Jan 1983: Civilians age 14+ who are currently employed and who report working for their current employer less than 1 year.
- 1991: Civilians age 15+ who are currently employed.
- 1996+: Civilians age 15+ who are currently employed and who report working for their current employer less than 1 year.
