Description

HUHHNUM is one piece of unique identifying information that can be used to link households across CPS samples. It is on the original files for basic monthly samples prior to May 2004. IPUMS uses HUHHNUM, along with HRSAMPLE and HRSERSUF, to create HRHHID2 in samples prior to May 2004.
