Description
FSHWTSCALE is the food security status weight.
This weight should be used when analyzing the food security scale data: FSRASCH, FSRASCHA, FSRASCHC, FSRASCHM, FSRASCHMA, FSRASCHMC, FSRAWSC95, FSRAWSCR, FSRAWSCRA, FSRAWSCRC, FSRAWSCRM, FSRAWSCRMA, FSRAWSCRMC, FSSTATUS, FSSTATUS95, FSSTATUSA, FSSTATUSC, FSSTATUSD, FSSTATUSM, FSSTATUSMA, FSSTATUSMC, FSSTATUSMD. In most years, it is identical to the supplement weight, FSSUPPWTH. In 1998, 1999, and 2007, some rotation groups were excluded from the food security scales because they were asked test questions that differed substantially from the main food security questionnaire. In these years, FSHWTSCALE adjusts for the exclusion of these households from the food security scale.
Analysts should use the main supplement weight for other analyses.
This variable is part of the Food Security Supplement.
