Description

For respondents that are not employed and report difficulties hearing, seeing, remembering things, moving around, accomplishing personal care tasks, or running errands, DIEMPBAR8 indicates whether the respondent considers anything else to be a barrier to employment apart from lack of education, lack of counseling, loss of government assistance, the need for special accommodations at work, the attitudes of employers or coworkers, and their reported difficulty.
This variable is part of the Disability Supplement.
