Description

For respondents who attempted to quit using a non-cigarette tobacco product within the past 12 months, TTOBTYPLONGQUIT identifies the non-cigarette tobacco product referenced in TTOBLONGQUIT.

This variable is part of the Tobacco Use Supplement.

Comparability

In the 2010 and 2011 samples, the corresponding longest-quit-attempt variable was asked when the respondent did not report that their most recent quit attempt was their longest quit attempt. Beginning in 2014, this variable was asked of any past-12-month quit attempt.

Universe

  • all: Respondents who attempted to quit using a non-cigarette tobacco product within the past 12 months.
