For respondents who ever tried a water pipe or hookah (TWPIPE), TWPIPEYRS reports the number of years the respondent (has) smoked a water pipe or hookah filled with tobacco. Respondents who (have) smoked for less than one year were coded as 0.
This variable is part of the Tobacco Use Supplement.
