Description
TOTHER indicates whether a smoker who tried to quit in the past twelve months or a former smoker who quit in the past five years used a method other than the list of questions in the survey in the attempt to quit smoking.
This variable is a part of the Tobacco Use Supplement.
Universe
- Self-respondent smokers age 15 or older who tried to quit in the last 12 months, or former smokers who stopped smoking within the last 5 years.
