This variable is part of the Education Supplement
Comparability
Between 1978 and 1981, there is no information for children ages 3-13 years old. In 1978, some states are not represented in the Education Supplement. Neither the data dictionary nor the official codebook nor any other official documentation provide support about this missing information. No information available for 1980. In 1985, there are some data for children 0-13.
Apart from the previous issues and changes in the universe, this variable is comparable for all the remaining available years.
