Variable is NOT in the 1981 file. See chhi=1 for additional coverage of children <15. 1980 and 1982-1988 includes persons who are not enrolled in other health insurance, but are covered by another household member's policy. See Appendix T.1 for Census defined conversions of new health insurance variables to old. This is the original release version of the variable, before the inclusion of the verification question. See Appendix T.6.
