Description
Industry last week (unedited, unallocated) - 1976-1982
Unicon Corporation made the following notes about this variable:
This is a three digit number. No indication is given regarding which set of industries is used. One can surmise that 76-82 use 1970 industry codes while 84-93 use 1980 industry codes. However, as 1983 has both values, it is unclear which codes are used in this unedited form. (Our guess is 1970, as the 1980 codes seem to have been added at the end of the file in its original form.)
