Construction - incwg1 + (incer1 if ernsrc=1)
The data after topcoding were used to create all combined income recodes.
This value does include pay for overtime, tips and commissions. Indeed, there is no way to separate these items out (per Census Bureau 03/97). See incwg1 and incer1 for TOPCODING information in 1996 forward. In some years, the topcode flags seem to be inconsistent with the actual data. See Appendix H.4 for details.
