Unicon Corporation made the following notes about this variable:
Unearned income source A - social security or railroad retirement (1968-1975). In 1968-1971, tabulations indicate all values missing. In 1968-1975 the family is assigned an allocation value. In later years, the allocation value applies to the individual.
